- US stocks erased previous gains and ended Tuesday's session (May 25) in the red as the market struggled to find direction. Ending Tuesday's session, the S&P 500 fell 0.2% to 4,188.13, as the energy sector pulled back. The Nasdaq Composite Index was almost flat at 13,657.17. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 81.52 points, or 0.2%, to 34,312.46 after gaining more than 100 points at its session high.

- Banking stocks such as VCB, MBB, TPB, TCB... had positive developments and helped the VN-Index to set a new peak in the session of May 25. Many steel stocks gained hot as NKG (3.8%), HSG ( 5.8%). On HNX and UPCoM, VGS rebounded by 6.1%; HSV jumped 9.9%. BVS increased by 6.1%, VDS increased by 5.4%, CTS and BSI increased by 4.1% and 3.6% respectively, and SSI increased by 2.8%.

- On the basis of inheriting fees and charges that have been reduced in Circular 112/2020/TT-BTC dated December 29, 2020, the Ministry of Finance proposes to reduce the collection rate of 01 fee in the seafood products at the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. According to the Ministry of Finance, it is expected that the state budget revenue will decrease by about VND1,000b when implementing this proposal.
