- The Dow Jones Industrial Average on Monday (July 12) closed to the 35,000 point, as investors became more optimistic before the second-quarter earnings season kicks off this week. At the end of the session, the Dow Jones index rose 126.02 points (0.4%) to 34,996.18 points, closing a new record high. The S&P 500 index advanced 0.4 percent to 4,384.63, also notching a record closing high. The Nasdaq Composite added 0.2% to a new high of 14,733.24. Year-to-date, the S&P 500 is up more than 16%.

- The results of the BCI survey conducted by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) recently revealed that business confidence has been strongly reduced due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic for the 4th time. If in the first quarter, the BCI index reached 73.9 percentage points, now it has dropped to 45.8%
