- IFC - a member of the World Bank announced that nearly 2,000 import-export businesses in Vietnam have been supported by IFC's trade finance program in 2021 - a program to help businesses overcome the COVID-19 period. 19 and maintain jobs for workers. With IFC's support, banks have issued 974 guarantees totaling US$686 million to support nearly 2,000 exporters and importers.

- Statistics from the consolidated FS in Q2.2021 of 29 domestic banks, the total income from foreign exchange business of 29 banks reached VND7,334b, up 10% QoQ and accounting for 2. 8% of total operating income. VCB continued to leader in terms of income from forex trading with VND2,029b in net profit in the first 6 months, accounting for 7.1% of the bank's total operating income (up 5% yoy). - PNJ: announced July net sales of 489 billion dong, down 62.6% y/y. Gross profit margin improved from 17.7% in the same period last year to 19.6%, total operating expenses decreased by 16.9%. Therefore, the business lost 32 billion dong after tax. The last month PNJ suffered a loss was in April 2020 with VND 102 billion, the peak of the epidemic in 2020 many stores were temporarily closed due to anti-epidemic requirements.
