- US stocks rallied on Monday (August 23) after a volatile week on Wall Street, led by gains in stocks related to the reopening of the economy as the FDA approved the first Covid-19 vaccine. At the end of the session, the S&P 500 gained 0.8% to 4,479.54 points, close to closing a record high. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 1.5% to 14,942.70, recording a record closing high. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 215.63 points (0.6%) to 35,335.71 points.

- The Vietnam Trade Office in the UAE (concurrently Qatar) said that the total two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and the UAE in the first seven months of 2021 reached nearly $3.1 billion, up about 37.8% over the same period last year. Accordingly, Vietnam's export turnover to the UAE reached approximately 2.8 billion USD, up 40.8% and Vietnam's import turnover from this country reached over 286 million USD, up 13.3%
