- The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell on Tuesday, amid lingering concerns about the impact of the Delta variant on the economic recovery. Ending the session, the Dow Jones fell 269.09 (0.76%) to 35,100.00 points. The S&P 500 fell 0.3% to 4,520.03 points. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite inched nearly 0.1% to 15,374.30 points, recording a record high close. The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) was temporarily closed on Monday (September 6) for the Labor Day holiday.

- The State Bank officially amends Circular 01: Extending the debt restructuring time by 6 months. The State Bank of Vietnam allows banks to extend the debt restructuring period by 6 months compared to the old regulations, until June 30, 2022.
