- US stocks rallied on Friday (October 15) as better-than-expected third-quarter results boosted the Dow Jones Industrial Average to its biggest weekly gain since June 2021. Ending the session, the Dow Jones index rose 382.20 points (equivalent to 1.1%) to 35,294.76 points. The S&P 500 gained 0.8 percent to 4,471.37 and the Nasdaq Composite added 0.5 percent to 14,897.30 points.
