Foreign investors continued to net buy 189 billion dong on January 27. LPB was the strongest net buying by foreign investors with 108 billion dong. Another banking stock, TPB, was also strongly net bought with 92 billion dong. On the other side, VIC was sold the most with 122 billion dong. KBC and VCB were behind with a net selling value of 94 billion dong and 62 billion dong, respectively.

Reacting to the results of the Fed meeting, Asian stocks fell. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 fell 2.41%. The Chinese market fell with Shanghai Composite down 1.78%, Shenzhen Component down 2.77%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 1.99% with the Hang Seng Tech index, which is mainly tech, down 3.81%. South Korea's Kospi index fell 3.5%. Shares of major Chinese technology companies also fell sharply, such as Alibaba losing 7.19%, JD down 3.51%, Meituan down 6.93%, Baidu down 4.04%, Tencent down 2.24%.

European businesses are optimistic about the investment environment in Vietnam. 43% of European businesses surveyed plan to increase investment in the first quarter of 2022; 38.5% plan to increase the number of employees; 51.5% predict an increase in orders and revenue.
