The S&P 500 index was mostly flat after a volatile session on Wednesday (February 16), as investors assessed the latest update from the US Federal Reserve and the state of Russia military near the Ukrainian border. Ending the session, the S&P 500 index inched 0.09% to 4,475.01 points. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 54.57 points, or 0.16%, to 34,934.27. The index dropped more than 300 points at the intraday low. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 0.11% to 14,124.09 points.
