U.S. stocks rose for a second straight session on Tuesday (June 7) even after target issued a profit warning for the current quarter, which weighed on the retail sector. Closing Tuesday's session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 264.36 points, or 0.8%, to 33,180.14 points. The S&P 500 added 0.95% to 4,160.68, and the Nasdaq Composite added 0.94% to 12,175.23. These indexes opened slightly lower but erased that decline and reversed to rise within the session.

On June 6, US President Joe Biden announced a 24-month tax exemption for solar panels imported from 4 Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, in order to promote clean energy production in the country. With this decision, the US can ensure a sufficient supply of parts to meet electricity generation needs while domestic solar power production increases.
