US stocks fell on Wednesday (June 8) as investors watched for signs of a possible recession and kept an eye on the bond market. Ending the session, the Dow Jones fell 269.24 points (equivalent to 0.81%) to 32,910.90 points. The S&P 500 lost 1.08% to 4,115.77 points, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.73% to 12,086.27 points.

In the first 5 months of the year, domestic individuals opened nearly 1.4 million new securities accounts, 2.5 times higher than the same period last year and 10% lower than the level of more than 1.5 million new accounts opened in the whole year 2021.
