US stocks rallied in the session of August 18 as investors received some more economic data, business results reports and continued to analyze the content of the minutes of the last meeting of the Federal Reserve Board. US Federal Reserve (Fed). The S&P 500 index rose 0.23% to 4,283.74 points. The Nasdaq index rose 0.21% to 12,965.34 points. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 18.72 points, or 0.06%, to 33,999.04.

Deputy Prime Minister has just signed the Government's Resolution to implement the National Assembly's Resolution on policy in the construction investment project of Ring Road 4 in the Hanoi. The Government assigns the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, also Hung Yen and Bac Ninh provinces to exercise the authority of investment deciders, to organize the formulation, approval of component projects of the National Assembly.

At the end of the session on August 18, VN-Index dropped 1.62 points (-0.13%) to 1,273.66 points. Foreign investors on HoSE were the strongest net buyers of VNM with VND116 bil. SSI and HDB were net bought VND88 bil and VND69 bil respectively. Meanwhile, VHM was sold the most with VND103 bil. DGC and KBC are behind with a net selling value of VND 49 bil and 44 bil.
