Wall Street rallied on Friday and the Nasdaq notched its biggest quarterly percentage gain since June 2020, as signs of cooling inflation bolstered hopes the Federal Reserve might soon end its aggressive interest rate hikes. Oil prices surged on Monday after Saudi Arabia and other OPEC+ oil producers announced a surprise round of output cuts.

After 2 weeks since the reduction of the operating interest rate from March 15, the SBV continued to issue a notice of a series of reductions in the operating interest rate, an adjustment of 0.3-0.5%/year, applied from April 3. Accordingly, many commercial banks will also have to reduce deposit interest rates from today.
