US stocks slid on Thursday (July 6), after better-than-expected jobs data raised investor concerns about the future path of interest rates. According to data from ADP, the US private sector added 497,000 jobs in June, marking the biggest monthly increase since July 2022. Job gains in June were more than double the Dow Jones forecast for an additional 220,000 jobs, and much better than the adjusted 267,000 jobs in May.
