US stocks rose slightly on Monday (July 31), as Wall Street kicked off a busy week with a series of corporate earnings reports and closed a positive month. Investors in recent weeks have increasingly hoped for a soft landing scenario as economic data shows the cooled down inflation. Profit results of businesses in the second quarter of 2023 also continued to increase better than expected.
