JOB PURPOSE
A strategic planning officer is a person who helps assess the current business position, consult/recommend the direction of business development and support to build a plan to achieve business development goals for the company. A strategic planning officer will provide consultation on solutions to maintain competitive advantages and proper resource allocation, thereby helping the company to gradually develop and achieve its goals.
CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Short-term business plan
- Monitor and analyze stock industry trends and financial market changes (macro/micro economy, products and services, market demand, regulation and policy…).
- Research the competitiveness, assess company’s situation.
- Assess impacts on company’s operation, identify threats and opportunities, consult on initiatives and analyze business proposals to maintain/improve company’s competitive advantage and business performance.
- Coordinate with departments to implement initiatives/actions to achieve business targets
2. Mid to long-term strategy
- Understand and shape the company’s strategy, support to develop strategic plan and goals.
- Propose approaches, initiatives, resource allocation, and coordinate with departments to develop action plans to achieve the goals.
- Monitor the implementation of strategic plan, evaluate the results.
- Consult on the adjustment of strategic direction and goals to suit the company’s operation situation and market movements.
3. Reporting
- Synthesize information, operation data, results of the implementation of company’s goals and plans, analyze business performance periodically/adhoc).
4. Other tasks as assigned

- Assess the impacts of market movements on company’s operation.
- Consult/Propose solutions to maintain company’s competitive advantage and achieve goals.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Educational Qualifications
- University graduate or higher major in Business Administration, Finance, Securities, Banking or related subjects.
2. Professional Knowledge
- Knowledge on strategic management and the operating structure of the business.
- Knowledge on economics, financial market, stock market.
- Understanding of securities business and investment products is advantageous
3. Relevant Experience
- At least 04-05 years of experience in the position: Strategic consulting/planning/management, Business planning, Research/Analyst… or related position.
- Priority is given to candidates who have work experience in securities companies, banks or strategic consulting companies
4. Required Competencies
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT): fluent.
- English skills: Can communicate, do reports and present in English.
- Communication skills, presentation and persuasion, cooperating, team working skills.
- Researching, synthesizing, analytical, reporting, problem identifying and solving skills
