The stock market opened in the green, then the VNIndex gradually weakened and dropped to near the reference level at the end of the morning session. After lunch break, market movements were not positive as selling pressure was increasing on a large scale, causing the index to fall deeply.

Asian stock markets fluctuated mixed in the first trading session of the week, as investors were waiting for the US to announce the inflation index in the middle of this week as well as the US Federal Reserve's next moves on interest rates. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index fell 0.58% on a decline in real estate stocks and after e-commerce giant Alibaba Group fell 3.1%. While the green color is recorded in the Chinese and Korean markets

The central exchange rate today (September 11) was announced by the State Bank (SBV) at 24,005VND/USD, an increase of VND12 compared to last weekend. This is the first time in the history of the central exchange rate exceeding the mark of VND24,000. From the beginning of the year until now, the central exchange rate has increased a total of VND393, equivalent to 1.66%.

VPB: VPBank and the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) have signed a bilateral loan commitment worth USD300 million with a 7-year term. The loan was arranged by DFC to help improve access to finance for SMEs, especially women-owned SMEs, and support green, sustainable projects in Vietnam.

HPG: Currently, HPG has a capacity of 8.5 million tons of crude steel, the largest in Southeast Asia. In addition to stabilizing production to serve market demand, HPG is actively implementing the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Production Complex project, with a capacity of 5.6 million tons of HRC/year, expected to be completed in 2025. As of early September 2023, the project has implemented 35% of the work progress.
