- Despite negative information about the stimulus package, Dow Jones still gained more than 200 points, Nasdaq recorded the best session in 1 month. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 250.62 points, or 0.9%, to close at 28,837.52 points. The S&P 500 rose 1.6 percent at the end of the day at 3,534.22 points. The Nasdaq Composite rose 2.6% to 11,876.26 points to record its best day since 9/9.
