Most Asian stocks rose on Wednesday, following a positive overnight session on Wall Street. Chinese stocks extended their rally after the government announced plans to issue 1 trillion yuan in government bonds to support the economy. Hong Kong and China markets were both performing well on the day, with the Shenzhen and Shanghai indexes increasing 0.47% and 0.4% respectively, while the Hang Seng index increased 0.55%.

ACB: Asia Bank (ACB) has just released its consolidated financial statements with pre-tax profit in the third quarter of more than VND5,000 billion, up 13% over the same period. Main income from credit increased modestly by 3%, net profit from services also decreased, but was offset by foreign exchange trading activities and investment securities with large profits over the same period. In the third quarter, ACB sharply increased credit risk provision costs by 4.7 times over the same period, in response to the upward trend of bad debt.
