- Closing October 15 session, US stocks continued to decline when the expectation of new stimulus became more pessimistic and the number of Covid-19 infections in Europe increased. The Dow Jones industrial average closed 19.8 points lower, or 0.07%, at 28,494.20 points. However, earlier in the session, the index including 30 stocks fell by more than 300 points. The S&P 500 lost 0.2% to 3,483.34 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.5% to 11,713.87.
