After Iran launched an attack on Israel last weekend, investors' fear of risk was the cause of the decline of VNIndex in the first session of the week. Since 2:10 p.m., all markets have been sold off strongly. On HOSE, the number of stocks increasing/decreasing was 40/475, of which 111 stocks fell to the floor.

Asia-Pacific markets fell as traders weighed the impact of Iran’s massive drone and missile attacks on Israel over the weekend, with focus also on key economic data from China and Japan later in the week. China will announce its first-quarter GDP numbers on Tuesday. Japan will release its March trade data and inflation numbers on Wednesday and Friday, respectively.

This afternoon, the exchange rate at banks continued to increase sharply and exceeded the State Bank's selling price of VND25,250. The selling rates of some banks have also increased to the ceiling according to regulations. On the "black market", the buying price of USD is currently at VND25,450 and the selling price is VND25,550, unchanged significantly compared to yesterday.
