Wall Street stocks ended lower in choppy trading on Tuesday as Treasury yields climbed. The DJIA got a boost from UnitedHealth Group's, opens new tab better-than-expected quarterly results. Real estate and utilities were the biggest drags on the S&P 500, while technology gave the largest boost.

A rally in the U.S. dollar is accelerating, as stubborn inflation sows doubts over how aggressively the Federal Reserve will be able to cut rates this year compared to other central banks. The U.S. dollar index (DXY) is up 4.8% this year and stands near its highest levels since early November.
