Asia stock markets mostly rose after key U.S. benchmark indexes hit fresh highs overnight. Hong Kong markets jumped almost 3% to lead gains, powered by energy and basic material stocks. South Korea’s Kospi gained more than 1.2%, powered by a 1.75% gain in heavyweight Samsung Electronics.
