Asian markets mostly followed the US market higher last night as investors expected the Fed to cut interest rates again at its meeting this week. Japanese and Korean markets were boosted by technology stocks, while China's Hong Kong market focused on the Central Economic Work Conference (CEWC) in hopes of receiving more information on new economic stimulus measures.

HDB: Sharing at the recent HDBank 2024 Investor Conference, Mr. Pham Van Dau - HDBank's CFO said that the Bank believes it will exceed the profit target of VND15,852 billion assigned by shareholders and is expected to reach over VND16,000 billion. Regarding next year's business plan, HDBank's CFO said that the bank expects pre-tax profit to reach about VND20,000 billion, an increase of 25% compared to 2024.
