The S&P 500 closed at a record high on Tuesday as investors shrugged off concerns about inflation and global trade. Energy was the best-performing sector in the S&P 500, rising 1.9%. Halliburton and Valero Energy led the sector higher. Technology stocks were also among the positive performers.
