- US stocks turned back to fall sharply on Friday (January 29), ending a volatile week on Wall Street, as the surge in speculative transactions by retail investors continued to wobble market. At the end of Friday's session, the Dow Jones slumped 620.74 points (or 2%) to 29,982.62 points, the first time the index dropped 30,000 points since December 14, 2020. The S&P 500 index dropped 1.9% to 3,714.24 points when 10 areas of this index recorded red. The Nasdaq Composite fell 2% to 13,070.69 as Apple shares fell 3.7% and other major tech stocks fell.

- According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, as of January 20, 2021, the total newly registered capital, adjusted and contributed capital, and purchased shares of foreign investors reached nearly 2.02 billion USD, equaling 37, 8% over the same period in 2020. The realized capital of FDI projects is estimated at $1.51 billion, up 4.1% over the same period.
