The S&P 500 closed at a record high on Wednesday, even as Nvidia shares declined despite reporting better-than-expected Q2 earnings. Specifically, revenue reached USD46.7 billion, up 56% year-on-year, while net profit soared to USD26.4 billion, a 59% increase from the same period last year. However, revenue from the data center segment fell slightly short of estimates due to the impact of U.S. restrictions on H20 chip sales to China.

Meanwhile, proprietary trading desks of securities firms continued to net sell VND1,090 billion, notably including a net sell of VND625 billion in VPB shares. On the other hand, they net bought GEX VND70 billion, FUEVFVND VND66 billion, FPT VND39 billion.
