- Ending the February 18 session, US stocks simultaneously declined when investors were disappointed with the lower-than-expected unemployment data, as well as weak forecasts from Walmart. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 119.68 points, or 0.4%, to 31,493.34 points, slipping off a record high. At the intraday low, the 30-stock index fell more than 300 points. The S&P 500 fell 0.4 percent to 3,913.97 points, down for three consecutive sessions. Nasdaq Composite lost 0.7% to 13,865.36 class, as investors continued to leave the high-tech sector.
