- At the end of January 22, technology stocks plunged, leading to a decline in the S&P 500 in the context that bond yields continued to rise, reducing the attractiveness for growth stocks. Investors flocked to stocks that are sensitive to the evolution of the economy. The S&P 500 lost 0.8% to 3,876.50 points in a volatile session, falling for the 5th consecutive session in the context of the decline in technology and non-essential consumer goods. Nasdaq Composite fell 2.5% to 13,533.05 points, as Tesla shares fell 8.6%. Big Tech shares come under pressure as Apple, Amazon and Microsoft all drop at least 2%.
