US stocks had a sharp decline when there were concerns that the conflict between the US and Iran would be prolonged. On the afternoon of March 3, President Donald Trump announced that the US Navy would escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz if necessary. Some major technology stocks, such as Nvidia, which led the recovery in the first session of the week, also turned down. US chip industry stocks were also under pressure and followed a significant decline in chip stocks in South Korea.

World gold prices recovered in the morning session on Wednesday (4/3) after plunging the previous day due to pressure from a stronger dollar and a faint prospect of lowering interest rates as concerns about inflation rose amid market concerns about a protracted conflict in the Middle East.
