Major U.S. stock indexes continued to experience a bearish session on fears that the U.S. and Iran would not reach a new agreement before the April 22 deadline for a ceasefire. After the trading hours, the US president announced that he would extend the ceasefire with Iran indefinitely but continued to blockade Hormuz until the two sides reached final negotiations.
