- Closing 2/11 session, US stocks gained as the market recovered after a sharp decline last week and prepared for the presidential election. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 423.45 points higher, or 0.6%, at 26,925.05 points. The S&P 500 rose 1.2% at the close to 3,310.24 points. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.4 percent and ended the session at 10,957.61 points
