- At the end of March 15, the Dow Jones and S&P 500 reached a new peak when investors were optimistic about the economic recovery from the pandemic. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 174.82 points, or 0.5%, to a record 32,953.46 points. Dow Jones witnessed 7 consecutive days of prosperity, this is the longest streak since August. The S&P 500 rose 0.65% to 3,968.94 points, the highest level of all time and the 5th consecutive gaining session. The Nasdaq Composite rose 1.1 percent to 13,459.71 points.
