- US technology stocks are sold off amid concerns about interest rates. Closing Tuesday's session, the S&P 500 fell 0.7% to 4,164.66 after falling 1.5% at its intraday low. Pressure on some of the world's biggest tech companies caused the Nasdaq Composite to lose 1.9% to 13,633.50, its worst session since March 2021.

- According to new data released by the General Statistics Office, the consumer price index (CPI) in April 2021 decreased by 0.04% over the previous month, up 2.7% over the same period last year. On average, in the first 4 months of 2021, CPI increased by 0.89% over the same period last year, the lowest rate since 2016; Core inflation in 4 months increased by 0.74%.
