- Technology stocks led the market to decline on Monday (May 10), when investors sold off large technology stocks, causing Dow Jones and S&P 500 to withdraw from record highs. Closing Monday's session, the Nasdaq Composite fell 2.5% to 13,401.86, to close at the intraday low. The Dow Jones decreased by 34.94 points (or 0.1%) to 34,742.82 points. The S&P 500 lost 1% to 4,188.43, slipping off record-high closing levels.
