- US stocks continued to rally on Friday (May 14), led by gains in technology stocks and stocks related to the reopening of the economy, as Wall Street rallied for a second day after a sharp decline at the beginning of the week. Ending Friday's session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 360.68 points (or nearly 1.1%) to 34,382.13 points. The S&P 500 index advanced 1.5% to 4,173.85 points. The Nasdaq Composite added 2.3% to 13,429.98 points.
