- Ending the session on May 17, technology stocks continued to lead the decline of major Wall Street indexes, after the inflation indicator released last week made the market less optimistic. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 54.34 points, or 0.2%, to 34,327.79. The S&P 500 index lost 0.3 percent to 4,163.29, as the technology sector dropped 0.7 percent. The Nasdaq Composite fell 0.4% to 13,379.05 points.
