- US stocks rose slightly on Friday, with the S&P 500 index setting new records, as Wall Street closed the week with gains. Closing Friday's session, the S&P 500 gained 0.2% to a new record of 4,247.44 points, closing at a record high for the second session in a row. The Nasdaq Composite added 0.4 percent to 14,069.42 with Apple, Microsoft and Netflix all posting gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 13.36 points to 34,479.60.
