- The Dow Jones index fell for the second consecutive session on Thursday (June 17), as investors received the latest policy update from the Fed, in which the agency has raised inflation expectations and increased the time frame on when to raise the next interest rate. At the end of the session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 210 points (0.62%) to 33,823.45 points, while the S&P 500 Index fell 0.04% to 4,221.86 points. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite index advanced 0.87% to 14,161.35 points
