- The S&P 500 index set a new record on Wednesday (July 7) as investors flocked back to large-cap technology stocks. Closing the session, the S&P 500 index advanced 0.34% to an all-time high of 4,358.20 points after the index broke its streak of 7 consecutive gains in the previous day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 104.42 points to 34,681.79 points. The Nasdaq Composite was mostly flat at 14,665.10 despite setting a new intraday record shortly after opening.

- The Vietnamese stock market on July 7 regained part of the loss of the July 6 session. The focus of trading was still on blue-chip VN30 with many hot gainers such as PNJ, MWG, GAS, MSN, etc. HOSE capitalization jumped by more than 127,000 billion in the recovery session, MWG and PNJ hit the ceiling price.
