- Asian stocks mixed after disappointing US jobs report. In Japan, the Nikkei rose 0.1%, following gains from the September 3 session after Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga announced that he would not run in the upcoming election. The Chinese market rallied with the Shanghai Composite up 1.54%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 0.7%. South Korea's Kospi index fell 0.12%.
