- US stocks rose for a second straight session on Thursday (September 23), as concerns surrounding the crisis in the Chinese property market eased somewhat and as the US Federal Reserve Fed) keep the current monetary stimulus for a short while longer. At the end of the session, the Dow Jones index jumped 506.50 points (1.48%) to 34,764.82 points. The S&P 500 gained 1.21% to 4,448.98 and the Nasdaq Composite added 1.04% to 15,052.20.
