US stocks witnessed a recovery in the afternoon session on Monday (January 10), when large technology stocks reversed to gain, thereby helping Nasdaq Composite end a series of 4 consecutive declines. At the end of the session, the Nasdaq Composite index edged up 0.05% to 14,942.80 points. While, the S&P 500 lost 0.14% to 4,670.29 points and the Dow Jones lost 162.79 points (or 0.45%) to 36,068.87 points, also retreating from the low of the session. Dow Jones sometimes lost more than 550 points at the beginning of the session

Session 10/1: HOSE blocked orders, VN-Index dropped nearly 25 points after the sell-off phase of midcap and penny groups. For the whole session, the trading value was over 50,200 billion dong, up nearly 29% compared to last Friday's session. In which, the liquidity on HOSE reached 41,813 billion dong, equivalent to more than 1.38 billion shares traded.
