US stocks rose on Tuesday (January 11) as Wall Street seemed to find its footing after a rough start to the year. At the end of the session, the Nasdaq Composite index gained 1.41% to 15,153.40 points, continuing the rally in the previous afternoon session that ended a series of 4 consecutive declines. The S&P 500 gained 0.92% to 4,713.07, while the Dow Jones added 183.15 points, or 0.51%, to 36,252.02.

Liquidity in the system has somewhat stabilized again after 2 weeks of many stress. The total amount of bills in circulation through the OMO channel is 10.54 trillion dong and will mature this week. The interbank interest rate level cooled down when the overnight term ended January 4th - 7th to 1.16% (down 41 basis points). The remaining tenors decreased by 12-20 basis points, ranging from 1.55% to 2.29%.
