US stocks rose and fell in a volatile session on Thursday (January 27), as investors received updates from the US Federal Reserve (Fed), the latest GDP report and earnings results. At the end of the session, the Dow Jones was mostly unchanged at 34,160.78 points, after jumping more than 600 points at the peak of the session. The S&P 500 fell 0.5% to 4,326.50, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 1.4% to 13,352.80. Both indices rallied at the beginning of the session
