The S&P 500 Index fell into a correction on Tuesday (February 22), as escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine negatively impacted market sentiment at the start of the new week. At the end of the session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 482.57 points (1.42%) to 33,596.61 points, under pressure from the 8.9% plunge of Home Depot stock. Dow Jones fell for 4 consecutive sessions. The S&P 500 fell 1% to 4,304.74 and is down more than 10% from its record-high close, a technical correction.
