US stocks turned lower on Thursday (March 3), leading to a decline in technology stocks, as the move in the bond and energy markets slowed down and investors watched the stock markets and war in Ukraine. Ending the session, the Dow Jones fell 96.69 points (or 0.29%) to 33,794.66 points, after recording in the green for most of the session. The S&P 500 fell 0.53% to 4,363.49. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 1.56% to 13,537.94 points.

The Ministry of Finance shall submit to the Government for submission to the National Assembly Standing Committee an adjustment to reduce the environmental protection tax rate for gasoline, oil and grease. Specifically, a reduction of 1,000 VND/liter of gasoline (except ethanol), from 4,000 VND/liter to 3,000 VND/liter; diesel, fuel oil, lubricating oil reduced by 500 VND/liter, from 2,000 VND/liter to 1,500 VND/liter; kerosene reduced by 500 VND/liter, from 1,000 VND/liter to 500 VND/liter.

SCB Vietnam Equity Fund (SCBRMViet), an investment fund managed by SCB Asset Management (Thailand), said it is mobilizing capital from March 1-7 to invest in the Vietnamese stock market. The fund is expected to raise capital up to 3 billion Bath, equivalent to 2,100 billion VND.
