US stocks rebounded sharply on Monday (October 17), as key earnings reports eased some investors' concerns and oversold technology stocks rebounded. At the end of the session, the Dow Jones index increased by 1.86% to 30,185.82 points. The S&P 500 index advanced 2.65% to 3,677.95 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased by 3.43% to 10,675.80 points, its biggest gain since July 2022.

After more than 4 months of implementing Decree No. 34 on extending the payment of taxes for businesses affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, tax authorities have extended over VND 91,000bil in tax for businesses. The total amount of value added tax to be extended is over VND 51,000bil. The extension of arising corporate income tax is VND 40,000bil, personal income tax for business households and individuals is extended at VND 204bil.
