US stocks continued to decline on Monday (December 19), as recession fears grew. US stocks are having a dismal December after 2 consecutive weeks of decline. Since the beginning of the month, the Dow Jones decreased by 5.3%, the S&P 500 decreased by 6.4%, and the Nasdaq Composite decreased by 8%.

The dollar fell on both international and domestic markets on Monday (December 19) as investors became more risk-averse. The Japanese yen fluctuated sharply this session after Japan announced that it would consider revising its detailed plan made decades ago to oppose against inflation.
