Asian stocks started the week higher, thanks to "push" from Wall Street last week, despite the complicated epidemic situation in China affecting investor sentiment. The increasing number of COVID-19 cases in China is the main factor causing concern for investors. However, assessing the impact of the pandemic on the world's second-largest economy has been limited after the country's National Health Agency on December 25 announced it would stop reporting the number of COVID-19 cases daily.

Session December 26, SBV net withdrew about VND14,000 billion through both channels. In OMO channel, SBV provided about VND6,000 billion to 6 commercial banks with an interest rate of 6%/year. On the treasury bills issuance channel, SBV attracted about VND20,000 billion for 3 commercial banks with an interest rate of 6%/year.
