US stocks fell on Thursday (March 9) as banking and financial stocks sold off, and investors prepared for the important US jobs report on Friday (10/3). SVB Financial shares lost 60% after announcing the sale of shares worth USD1.75 billion and dragging other regional banking stocks also plunged. Silvergate shares fell more than 42% on news of the company shutdown.
